Quintet publishing

Have been working at Quintet book publishers for a few weeks now, composing layouts, picture researching, taking books to press and coming up with a few jacket designs.

Here's a couple, both from their new Continental Kitchen range. 

Fresh Whip art show.

Here is the poster I designed for the Fresh Whip art show that myself, Popcorny and Mister Phil  put on recently in the Fishing museum in Brighton.

The collective was set up last year by the three of us keen to showcase our more personal creative pursuits. The show was a good opportunity to expose our work and as it turned out a big success selling as we did lots of limited edition screen prints, t-shirts and greetings cards.

We have plans to have another show soon in London.

Ugbot website.

This is the design I came up with for my own personal website Ugbot. For some time now I have been creating a bunch of  characters and creatures to sate my imagination and it seemed right to give them their own platform to inhabit. These particular friends form the material for my screen prints and t-shirt designs and I hope one day to reproduce them in 3-d as vinyl designer toys.

Golf + magazine layouts

Just done a weeks work at Golf + mag.

Crenshaw screen print

After completing a screen printing course last month this was my first 3 colour print depicting one of my characters Crenshaw. I did a run of about 40 with about 30 coming out acceptable. 

It gets a bit nerve racking during a 3 hour session knowing you've got another colour to do and only half an hour left...

Boiled Egg packaging design.

Here are some pics of the 'Whose Naked, Naughty Snap, and Naughty Pairs' packaging artwork i've just finished. 

The main game was a take on the classic 'Guess Who' and there were 5 other card based games. The whole project was quite a lengthy process with lots of changes throughout but at least everyone was happy with the finished result. I worked closely with the clients and illustrator Katie Mac (Bento illustration) to produce something that was fun and saucy but veered away from being tacky.

Big Fuzz tee.

I've been designing some tee-shirts for a while now and have been producing them via the Spreadshirt website. The process is easy to use and the resulting tee's are finely finished. You can check out my online shop here.

Circle Events ident and promotional material

I've just completed the design for various promotional stuff for London based events company Circle Events. The client asked for 'some sort of classy montage' depicting their bestselling events and outings against a London backdrop. 

After scooting around the capital on my bike snapping pics I set about producing various vector illustrations and then combined the lot in Photoshop.

Woman magazine.

I have been working for Woman magazine for a while now helping out designing layouts and also on the production side retouching, colour correcting and dealing with repro.

Miller draught.

I produced a series of concept visuals for proposed bar/nightclub/recording studio for Miller beer.

Womans Own magazine.

I have been plunged deep into the world of crash diets, celebrity gossip and risotto recipes doing layouts and production at Womans Own.

Each artist contacted was simply given the brief of '300% Cotton' and allowed to interpret it as they saw fit. I produced 2 designs and the writer chose the one at the top to be published
